We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and my mother-in-law came to share it with us. I will post pictures of that later since I'm in California right now for Christmas!
Here are some fun pictures of us at the Old Friends' Horse Retirement Farm near Lexington. This is a place for old racehorses to retire without fear of being turned into glue--literally.
The Little One loves her Rocking Chair. It is her favorite place to sit when Dad reads to her before bedtime. We just read anything since she can't understand anyway. Right now we're reading the Chronicles of Narnia. It is so much fun to listen to him read and The Little One just romps around her room happily while we read. It is my favorite time of day! I'm glad that we're creating traditions that feel right for us--not just something one of our families do.

Yay yay yay yay! Gosh, I know I say this every time, but Elsie is getting so HUGE! And I love that you're reading the Chronicles of Narnia to her because THAT'S WHAT LILY IS READING RIGHT NOW! We've already finished The Hobbit. Y'all are so great. I love the Parkinsons!
ReplyDeleteWe're finished with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and now we're half way through Prince Caspian!! Dallin is super impressed you read the whole Hobbit! Also, make sure you read the Chronicles in order of publication date. Scholastic re-ordered them for some ridiculous reason.
